Back to Light is the "video game story" of Phen, a little Viking living her life on her island! Crossing levels, collecting gem shards and fighting monsters! All to archive her ultimate goal: bring back color to her island.Long time ago the island was full of color and creatures, but one day the color disappeared. The creatures ran away and the Shadow Monsters raised from darkness, led by their Shadow Queen they destroyed everything they came acrossLegend says a Hero of Black and White will rise to stop the Monsters, and bring a new era of light and color
Characters
Phen: The Hero of Black and White
yeyOverexcited, impulsive and always ready to fight. Phen is not the only Viking who has tried to put an end to the colorless life they live, but she is the one who has made it so far and made a change, bringing back color to their village after defeating the Final Boss of the areaWeird thing is… the color didn't came back right. There's areas with no color, and characters (including herself) who still have no color and now she has to find out whyPhen eventually finds out the Monsters that plague the island are the same Creatures that used to habituate it
Conal: Mask Guy
Badass, cool and unpredictable, this is exactly what Conal would want to be. Unfortunately, battles are too much for him and he prefers keeping to his job: passed down generation after generation on his family, Conal has the responsibility to make masks for the Shadow Creatures to protect them from the colorless world that has corrupt themConal was thought not to trust anyone outside his family. Phen was thought that Shadow Monsters were merciless monsters and must be destroyed. The two Vikings now have to work together to help the Shadow Creatures and bring back color
Elinor: The Witch
Elinor, mostly known as "The Witch" is an old woman, but a rather young witch! At the short age of 156 she witnessed the loss of color and is probably the only human alive who has seen the world in its colorful glory. The Witch adopted Phen when she was really young and will do anything in her power to help Phen on her quest
Kevin: Music Man
You need him? He's gonna be there. You don't need him? He… will also be thereKevin loves to play music, even in the most unnecessary moments, good thing is: it always makes cool background music! Even when it doesn't look like it, Kevin knows a lot of vital information that will help Phen on her quest
Abby: Viking Girl
Abby was raised to be a Viking Warrior and claims to be the best at battle, one day she might be! Truth is, she has never set foot in an actual fight
She is Phen's oldest friend and partner in crime while on the village. One day she will join her party to both wreak havoc and save the day!
The Gang: Phen, Conal, Kevin and Abby
By their own, they are a walking mess, together… they are a bigger mess. But for some reason, the gods thought it was a good idea to set the faith of the world on their little shoulders.
Shadows
The Shadows were creatures that used to live on the different areas of the island, when the color disappeared the creatures got corrupted and lost control, turning into monstersNow in the new colorless world, the only way for the Monsters to go back to their normal forms is with the power of the masks
Level 1: Colorless Skin
Phen succesfully defeats the Final Boss of the Forest Temple: The Horned Brute, with the big gem she won she heads out to Odin's View, where she releases all the gem shards she had collected on the region, bringing back color to the forest, the Viking village and its residents, a succsesful mission!But... the color didn't come back to her, did she do something wrong? Did she miss anything?

Animation
This project started with Phen being my test subject for animation excercises, it's story started slowly then it became a snowball rolling downhill towards me, I wanted to make it an animation series so I have a lot of old material that is just animation.
At the end I opted to better tell this story as a comic, and then as a mix of comic and animation, mixing my two pasions.
